Sys indicates a problem detected by the CCM. The Sys light will flash 3

times every 15 seconds. To verify the problem, the CCM codes need to be

read. The service manual walks thru the steps to read and interperet the

codes using a jumper (Between A (ground) and G (Diagnostic Enable) on the

diagnostic connector. If you jumper the the two terminals and then turn the

ignition on (do not start the car), the CCM will go into auto mode and step

through all the modules. Module 1 is the CCM, module 4 is the ECM and

module 9 is the EBCM (ASR/ABS). The code is shown on the speedometer

readout with the module number shown below. The CCM will show C12 if all is

OK for the CCM. For the others, the display will be --- if no code is set.

All codes for the ECM and EBCM will be history codes ( H in front of the

code). Also CCM will be a History code if problem occured in the past and

is not present. After auto mode module 1.0 will be shown which is the CCM

waiting for further instructions. Turn the ignition off and pull the jumper

and you are back to normal CCM operations. If you feel uncomfortable about

playing with the diagnostic connector or can not tell which pins are which,

then have a technician read it for you.

For info, ECM will set a code for low voltage (DIC 53). The manual has

warnings about charging the battery in vehicle with electronics connected.

I am currently fighting an intermittent ASR/Sys/Security light indication.

I read the codes and the CCM and EBCM are telling me I have a serial comm

failure and this results in a FEDS failure. The problem is intermittent.

Anybody out here in cyberspace had this problem and fixed the problem? What

was the fix?

Chris - what is the resistor mod for a stereo install? I`m thinking of

upgrading the stereo in my `93.

Title: Well I'm already here, so might as well....

I really arrived at the posting page to see if there actually was a future posting thing so you could have your posts be published at a certain time after you write them. After I found out it did exist I started to think of all the possibilities. How about a blog written while you are slowly dying and then published, post by post, after you are gone. IMAGINE HOW CREEPY THAT WOULD BE? so we will not be trying that toda(what about a kid planning to commit suicide???? still creepy?)y. I insure you that I am a minimum of 82.5% alive at the time of writing which IS ALSO THE TIME OF POSTING THANK YOU VERY MUCH!(well sort of)

On another thought completely, I, myself, the person writing this, am none to partial to American cars, the build quality stinks and they cant turn without the aid of a turntable (I know I’m being to critical but……..forgot what I was going to say…. anyway). The somewhat new Dodge Challenger is awesome, it’s cool, has nice wheels, and the engine isn’t bad….. Well there you have it, now you know of the only American I would spend money on……..

M3’s, it’s weird, everyday when I walk home, I always see at least 1(my record is 3), it’s strange, I didn’t think it was THAT popular of a car…. hmm what do I know?

OOOO now I can be contacted at cwylie27@ymail.com :) e-mail me so I can ignore all the fan mail and feel self-righteous…. actually I will probably be so excited, I actually got an e-mail because of this blog that I will spontaneously combust…… If you’re too lazy I’ll make it easy for you here are some links to possibly your e-mail provider

hotmail yahoo gmail otheremailaddress

If they don’t work just type manually because really how hard is it? AND you might even burn 1/64TH of a calorie ooooooooooo

Touched down this afternoon in Atlanta Georgia. I’m here for this weekend’s Obsession Fest at the Atlanta Dragway hosted by Obesssion Car Club. I went right to work and shot Edgar’s 64 Impala from Obsession Car Club. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the weekend!

I shot this on the way to the photoshoot.

One of the outakes from the photoshoot.
