You do not have a problem. They are designed this way from the

factory. The fans are supposed to stay off until 228F when the

A/C is turned off. What you are seeing is exactly what is supposed

to be happening. From what I have heard, this is supposed to

help fuel economy and emissions.

If you do not like it to run this hot, you will have to change to a

160 degree thermostat and get a Power Programmer to change

the computer`s temperature settings.

You need to find out the `actual` water temperature instead of relying

on the guage/sensor. Get a remote digital thermometer with sensor on the

end of the wire...and strap it to the upper radiator hose while you go

for a long drive. Have the thermometer in with you so you can monitor

it. Or...strap any thermometer to the upper radiator hose which you

know is accurate...then take a look at it after a good run.

ME: Ive seen a kit which will turn on the fans sooner for this

generation vette . I think Mid America has it in their catalogue.

McLaren returned back by its new monster McLaren MP4-12C . Behind the tub sits a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine producing around 600 horsepower and 433 lb-ft of torque, offering what McLaren claims is the highest horsepower to CO2 ratio of any internal combustion engine on the market – gasoline, diesel or even hybrid. Contrary to earlier speculation that suggested Mercedes could continue furnishing its erstwhile partner with at least the engine blocks while producing its own SLS supercar and furnishing Pagani as well, McLaren says the unit was developed entirely in house. The bespoke mill features a flat-plane crank, dry sump and can rev up to 8,500 rpm, though 80% of the torque is said to be available from as low as 2,000 rpm. That ought to be good for a 0-60 time in the low threes and a 200+ mph top end.

Title: Cars: The Rookie TPB
Date: Sun, 27 Sep 2009 01:57:42 +0000
Author: v1kthor

CVR CRS TP VOL 1

Escrito por Alan J. Porter, Arte por Albert Carreres, Colores por Emily Kanalz (Issues 1-3) & Flavio B. Silva (Issue #4), Publicado por Boom! Kids.
